Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN®)
GDSN® – Global Data Synchronization Network
A global standard developed collaboratively by world’s leading retailers and manufacturers for enhancing the collaboration between suppliers and retailers. GDSN® is built around GS1 Global Registry®, product classification, GS1 data quality frame works and certified data pools. By implementing the GDSN, data flow between suppliers and retailers can become seamlessly and paperless. A better data flow between trading partners will bring the following benefits:
- Smoother and quicker business processes
- Improved accuracy of orders
- Fewer forms to fill out
- Fewer duplicate systems and processes
A proven way to drive unnecessary costs out of the supply chain
Many suppliers and their customers around the world, both large corporations and small manufacturers and producers, have already discovered how synchronizing qualitative, properly classified data using GDSN can bring both benefits and opportunities.
eBizServe® helps Carrefour Taiwan suppliers implementing GDSN® through 1SYNC® technology.

The Model of Collaborative Zone™
- Collaborative Zone™ is an operating platform on which applications complying with the platform’s APIs can run as a Collaborative Activity.
- With Collaborative Zone™, partners can work collaboratively in two ways:
- Predefined format domain-driven structured data forms and
- Free-format domain-independent unstructured data forms.
- Establish collaborative partner relationships with a trust-based invitation mechanism. Partners are manageable in Collaborative Zone™ and are qualified for doing collaboration. Partners by such invitations form a trust-based community.
- A Collaborative Zone™ member can create a Collaborative Activity and invite partners to participate.
- A Collaborative Activity is an instance of an application such as Collaborative Product Development.
- Participants of a Collaborative Activity can be either in Shared Mode or in Exclusive Mode. Any two participants in Exclusive Mode do not know and see each other. A participant in Shared Mode knows and sees all participants, and is allowed to update the shared data (single version of truth).
